Adventures Await

So much stuff……
Do you remember where you put your favorite stuffed animal as a kid?
Or where your college transcripts are filed? All the boxed photos?
Where’s that outdated suitcase? The books you want to donate, the extra
ribbons for gift wrap, & the vases you store but never get out to use?
Do you remember all of these objects? Do they elicit warm fuzzy feelings
or the dread of when to put aside the time to deal with them?

I’d guess you remember all the important dates in your life? Well, not all,
many.
Where you were when you got your first job? The day each child was born,
the special vacations & family days. Can you spend hours reminiscing &
making new memories together when you visit a childhood friend?

Which would you rather collect? The experience of floating down the
Nile River with 4 of your besties, visiting Paris, or adding another doll,
truck, or tech gadget to your collection?

Yes, it’s important to have fast internet, a terrific smartphone & up to date
computer technology! Of course, we want a dreamy bed & a comfortable,
aesthetically pleasing home & environment. Do we really need Amazon
boxes delivered daily to our doors with all the latest & greatest?

Does having too much stuff weigh you down?
Which would you rather collect?
Amazing adventures or lots of beautiful things?

I stand firmly in the experience adventure column.
Recently on a family cruise to Alaska, we took a photo of Wyatt Earp’s
gun, (yep my relative Wyatt!) kayaked near a glacier, floated down a river, &
hiked in the forest. We ate together for 8 days, laughed, shared, & hugged
each other!! Family, what’s better than that?

I absolutely want to build experiences with my family, my husband, & our
friends! I desire a deep reservoir of life to witness, behold, & nourish my
soul.

Together let’s look around us at the everyday adventures that await.
Your child’s first day of kindergarten. Your grandchild delighting in new
friendships.

Can you commit to collecting experiences instead of MORE things this
summer?

I’d love to hear about your adventures, the everyday miracles, & your
bucket list vacations.
Together they weave your unique original life quilt.

Happy July!
